Orion High School will induct the Hall of Fame Class of 2009-10.

About 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, between varsity and sophomore boys basketball games in the gymnasium.

Individuals who will be honored

For Individual Achievement

Athletic excellence while in high school

Everett Manning, All-Conference in football and basketball, set school records in shot put and discus

Jerry Raisbeck, Class of 1970, All-State in football, also standout in basketball

Sean Hickerson, Class of 1989, silver medalist at state wrestling tournament

Kyle Erdmann, Class of 1993, two-time qualifier for state wrestling tournament, four-time sectional qualifier and four-time regional champion

Justin Welborn, Class of 1995, broke school record for most careeer points in basketball, one of stars of 1994-95 Sweet Sixteen team

For Distinguished Achievement

Excellence following high school

Robert Gustafson, director of Engineering Education Innovation Center and Honda Professor of Engineering Education.

As a Friend of Orion High School

Service to the school

Sam Shaw, fundraising coordinator for multi-purpose room and practice gym at OHS, and volunteer coach in three sports.

Teams which will be honored

1940 Six-Man Football Team, mythical state champions, 7-0 record, outscored opponents 52-12.

1964 Football Team, First undefeated 11-man team, 8-0 record, outscored opponents 33-7.
