Lawn waste picked up twice monthly in Galva

Doug Boock

The City of Galva has resumed its twice-monthly pickup of yard waste. The city picks up lawn waste April through October, on the first and third Friday of each month.

Eligible items are grass clippings, weeds, leaves and garden waste.

Waste must be placed in bags which have a pickup sticker attached. Stickers cost $2 each. Buy stickers at City Hall, Hathaway’s True Value or the Galva IGA store.

Sticks and branches are not included in lawn waste pickups. Sticks and branches are always picked up free of charge, whenever city workers can get to them.

For more information, call City Hall at 932-2555.
