Maple City Cruisers prepare for Sept. 11th show

In honor of the upcoming Trains, Planes & Automobiles festival’s ‘Salute to the Military’ theme, members of the Maple City Cruisers car club in Geneseo recently donated $550 to Honor Flight of the Quad Cities, which flies World War II veterans to Washington, D.C. Maple City Cruisers will host a car show during Trains, Planes &?Automobiles on Sept. 11. The show will be from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with registration from 7 a.m. to noon near the library. Those participating in the show are asked to follow signs on the east boulevard. Trophies in 17 categories will be awarded at 2 p.m. There is no charge to participate in the show and all vehicles are welcome.
