Cougars's playoffs opponent announced

The Mid-County Cougars will play at Decatur St. Teresa on Saturday, Oct. 30, in first-round play in the IHSA Class 3A football playoffs. The pairing was announced by the IHSA during Saturday night's playoffs pairings.

Decatur St. Teresa, which has won seven of its nine games this season, won 2A state championships in 1974 and 1975. Mid-County, a first year co-op of Galva, ROWVA and Williamsfield players, finished 6-3 following a thrilling 14-13 win at United on Friday night.

Saturday's game begins with a 1:30 p.m. kickoff. More details will be announced as the week progresses.
