Leafs ousted in first round

The Geneseo High School boys' basketball team was defeated in the first round of IHSA regional action, 40-37, March 2 by co-NIB 12 champion Sterling in Rock Island. The Leafs end the season at 13-13 overall and 8-1 in the conference.
