Urick wins $2,500 for Ag in the Classroom

Kevin Urick, third from left, recently won $2,500 for Ag in the Classroom through the America’s Farmers Grow Communities program sponsored by Monsanto. Farmers in Henry County were invited to enter the contest, with each entry earning $1 for United Way programs in Henry County. The winner was able to select a non-profit ag program to receive the funds. Ag in the Classroom provides activities and information about agriculture to all elementary students in Henry County. Janson said the $2,500 donation will purchase a year’s worth of supplies for the program.
