Galva officials present donors keys to city

Connie Byers of Galva and a Kewanee couple were presented keys to the city of Galva on Feb. 28 for their donations to bronze the sculpted bust of the late George Swank.

Byers and Rob and LeAnn Bailleu of Kewanee donted money to bronze the bust, made by Galva artist Jordan Murray.

City Administrator David Dyer also donated to the fund to get the bust bronzed.

Murray, who was present at the Feb. 28 Galva City Council meeting, is now working on a bust of Galva Emery, the first girl born in Galva.
