Lady Leaf track places 11 in top 5 at Sterling

First-place finishes went to Emily Ford, 1600-meter run in 5 minutes and 30.33 seconds and Andrea Kastorff, triple jump, 32-0. A second-place finish went to Katie Eastburn, 55-m dash, 7.73. Darrian Hartman placed third in the pole vault at 8-6, while Sarah Dellett came in third in the 1600-m run at 6:17.86. In fourth place were Jade Collins, 55-m dash, 7.88; Eastburn, 200-m dash, 29.27 and long jump, 15-2; Cortney Backes, 400-m dash, 1:12.87; Morgan Kelly, 800-m run, 2:48.02; and the 4x400-m relay of Ford, Backes, Kelly and Dellett, 4:45.28.

Ford qualified for the Illinois Prep Top Times Meet in Bloomington March 26 in the 1600-m run in Sterling. Last week at the Knox Invite, Amanda Egan in the shot put, Ford in the 800-m run and Kaci Storm in the 55-m hurdles, all qualified for the Prep Top Times Meet.
