Galva area brief cool-off apparently coming

The Galva area is expected to see a moderate dip in temperatures later this week, according to the National Weather Service today.

According to the NWS, highs Wednesday through Friday could be in the low to middle 60s. Part of the temperature drop could be due to rain, which has decent chances of occuring throughout the week.

The current NWS forecast is:

This Afternoon: Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. West wind between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. North wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Tuesday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. East wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday Night: A chance of rain, then rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 53. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday: Rain and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 68. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 50. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday: A slight chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 62. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 66.

Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54.
