Name given of Galva woman who died in accident

Authorities say Kayla Halsall of Galva is the 20-year-old local resident who lost her life in an auto accident last night or early this morning near Woodhull.

The single-vehicle accident, to which the Henry County Sheriff's Department was alerted at about 6 a.m. this morning, occured about three miles east of Woodhull on Route 17. Halsall was pronounced dead at the scene about 6:50 a.m. by the Henry County Coroner's office.

Her name had not been released until tonight, pending notification of family.

Visitation for Halsall, a 2010 Galva High School graduate, has been tentatively set for Saturday, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Rux Funeral Home, Galva. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Galva. Further obituary information will be released later.
