GALVA — The Galva Park Board approved its tax levy ordinance for 2019-20. The board approved to change the levy from 4.99% to 3%. Treasurer Brittany Stewart will give the change to Attorney Keith Luymes.

The Park Board will hold their Dec. 11 meeting at the Dunes for their Christmas dinner.

Board President Katie Laurin reported that she had signed the contracts for the solar panels.

The board discussed a memorial for Jack Laramore who recently passed away and had served as Park Superintendent for several years in the past. A decision will be made at a future meeting.

The fence was put around the solar panels. It was reported that someone can mow around them with a walk behind mower. A power line was cut while installing the fence. JULIE had been called and flags were present.

Swanson Electric of Altona was called and fixed the line.

There are no Park District board terms up in 2020.
