Stolen truck used in Geneseo burglary

A stolen vehicle was used to break through a brick wall at a firearms dealer in rural Geneseo

On Wednesday August 25, Sheriff's deputies were called to an apparent break in at R&T firearms in rural Geneseo.  At approximately 5:15 AM, suspects used a stolen 2020 white Chevrolet pickup truck as a battering ram to gain access to the inside of the building. 

The vehicle was stolen from a resident in Kewanee earlier, and was recovered following the burglary on Rt 82, east of 1500 N. Road, approximately 5 miles from the crime scene.  It had been apparently abandoned.
