Run and drink for a good cause

Do you like running and good beer, then Stoddard’s Fine Food and Ale in Boston is the place for you to be on March 19.

Team With a Vision is partnering with local brewers and running clubs to hold a fun run to raise money for the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (MABVI).

The approximately three mile run will start at 6 p.m. at Stoddard’s  on Temple Street, and will be followed with an after party, featuring session beers from Banner Beer Company, Notch Brewing, Night Shift Brewing and Peak Organic Brewing Company.

There will also be a raffle, which includes prizes from Estelle’s Southern Cuisine, the Wine Emporium and Project Repat.

Team With a Vision has partnered blind and sighted runs at the Boston Marathon for the past 20 years.

“This event is a wonderful opportunity to bring together the running and craft beer communities,” said Kyle Robidoux, a Team With a Vision member who is visually impaired. “It is also an opportunity to raise money for MABVI and increase awareness about the tremendous abilities of blind/visually impaired runs.”

The race costs $10 to enter and people can register by clicking here. Follow @TeamWithAVision on Twitter for updates on brewers, raffles and other events.

Non-runners can also attend for a $10 door charge.
