Galva School District grants raise, appoints personnel

Following an executive session at the Sept. 22 meeting of the Galva School Board, the board approved several personnel matters.

The board granted a 3 percent raise to all personnel in the custodian/maintenance departments, the same increase as the one given to other non-certified personnel a few months ago.

The custodian/maintenance department raise became effective immediately, rather than retroactive.

The board also appointed the following to positions:

?Bird Romano, high school scholastic coach

?Krista Loncka, junior high student council representative

?Deb Meyer, student aide

?Scott Barnham, custodian

Resignations were accepted from:

?Shelley Newcomb, assistant play director

?Amie Beadles, student aide
