GHS greenhands respond best at contest

Galva’s Seth Strom topped all individuals as FFA first-year members participated in the Section III Greenhand History Trivia Quiz Bowl hosted Thursday, Oct. 9 by the Cambridge FFA Chapter. 

Sixty-seven students from area schools took part in the double-elimination event.

Participants from Galva included Casey Yelm, Brittney Weida, Lindsey Wexell, Rachel Jeffries, Emily Swanson, Austin Smith, Nathan Stiles, Chris Mille, and Seth Strom.

Along with Strom, Jeffries placed in the top 10, finishing eighth.

Galva Basic Agriculture students have been learning about the National FFA Organization, important milestones and dates, as well as the current officers at the section, state and national levels.
