The Galva High School dance/drill team held a private summer dance camp July 6-8 in the school gym.

The 19-member team received professional instruction from two staff members of the Universal Dance Association.

Five different styles of dance – including pom, kick, hip hop, lyrical and jazz – were taught.

On the final day of camp, the team was evaluated individually on each of the routines they learned, earning enough Superior ribbons to receive a Superior team trophy and invitation to perform at the 2011 Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Fla.
