Busing, lunch and other info at Galva school registration

Galva School District parents can meet with District 224 officials to ask questions about busing, nursing services and more at registration for the 2010-2011 school year, held Monday, Aug. 9 and Tuesday, Aug. 10.

Registration Hours

Registration for grades K-12 will be held in the high school library – a new location – both days.

Two sessions will be held on Aug. 9 (8:30 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 8 p.m.), and one session on Aug. 10 (1 to 7 p.m.)

Officials Present

District officials present will include:

•Cafeteria director Connie Anderson, to discuss free/reduced meal forms and the lunch program information

•Bus director Jim Smith, to discuss busing information

•Nurses Suzanne Lafferty and/or Linda VanDeVelde to discuss nursing

•P.E. teacher Amanda Johnson, to discuss P.E. uniforms for junior-senior high students.

Students from the GHS National Honor Society will also be present to help where needed.

School photo IDs for students in grades 7-12 will also be taken during registration.
