ROWVA bus drivers being kept

Despite speculation to the contrary, ROWVA District 208 has not laid off its 13 bus drivers.

ROWVA Junior High and Elementary Principal Nancy Hroziencik said there was talk of outsourcing drivers to save money, but the contract with the ROWVA Schools Education Association did not allow it. 

That contract was approved at the last school board meeting contingent on approval of wording which was inadvertently omitted from the contract. Hroziencik said an agreement has been made on that contingency and the contract will go into effect.
