Galva graduate Speed a member of college ensemble

Kersten Speed of Galva is a member of the 2010-11 Symphonic Wind Ensemble (SWE) at Central College, Pella, Iowa.

SWE is under the direction of Mitchell Lutch, director of bands and assistant professor of music, and is a select instrumental ensemble featuring over 30 performers.

Speed, who plays trombone, is a sophomore at the school.

She is a graduate of Galva High School and is the daughter of Paul and Romilie Speed of Galva.
