Snodgrass wins Scott Klingler Award

 Mark Snodgrass, a senior at Geneseo High School, was presented the Scott Klingler Award at the 41st annual Employer Appreciation Breakfast held April 29 at the Geneseo Moose Lodge.   

Snodgrass, son of Cynthia Ey, is a student in the Cooperative Education Program at the high school and his training position is with the Geneseo Public Service Department.  

The Scott Klingler Award is sponsored by Margaret and Emil Klingler in memory of their son, Scott Klingler.  

The award is given to the outstanding cooperative education student of the year.  Selection is based on coordinator site visits, employer quarterly evaluations and classroom performance.

Leadership, service, loyalty and character are the criteria used in selecting the student recipient for the award.

Ted McAvoy, founder of the coop program at GHS, presented the award to Snodgrass.

Julie Fiers is vocational director at the high school and program coordinators are Kyle Bess, LaJean Breedlove, Tim Gronski and Brian Stahl.
