Expected weather cancels tonight's Lenten service; remaining slate set

The first gathering in a series of Lenten worship services in Galva, set for tonight, has been cancelled, due to predicted bad weather conditions.

Tonight's service was to be held at Galva Congregational Church.

The series is hosted by the Galva Ministerial Association. Services, which are a half-hour long, begin at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a soup supper. The hosting church each evening provides the pastor who delivers the message.

This year's topic is "Beneath the Cross of Jesus."
