John T. Fisher obituary

John T. Fisher, 75, of Galva, died at 11 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016 at his home.

He was born June 22, 1941 in Kewanee, the son of Arvin and Evelyn (Beaver) Fisher.

He had been married to Mary Ann Yocum.

Survivors include two daughters, Valorie Hall of Galva and Nancy (Rick) Turner of Cambridge; two grandchildren, Ross Hall and Jenny (James) Brunke; three great-grandchildren, Rory, Macie and Natalie Hall; and special friend, Diana Boarman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law, Ron Hall.

John attended Galva schools and in his early years worked at the Galva Creamery. He worked as a molder for the Galva Foundry and had also worked for Boston Trucking.

He enjoyed his dogs, Freddy and Spud, and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Pastor Jeff Goard will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Galva Cemetery.
