Coal Valley author Jill Kosek will sign copies of her book, “His Words, My Pen, Your Heart,” from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Western District Library, Orion.

“Not having a lot of ‘extras’ in a family of seven, Jill learned the value of people rather than things,” said a press release. “This became the foundation of her insight into others’ feelings, which has allowed her spirit to be open to the interpretation of God’s words.”

Kosek shares the interpretations in her book, which was “written during times of trial and during times of happiness, not only for the author, but to pass on to others as well.” An active member of Orion United Methodist Church, she intends her book to offer comfort, peace, encouragement and joy for readers.

A native of northern Michigan, Kosek enlisted in the U.S. Air Force when she graduated from high school. She lived in Germany for 11 years and has lived in Coal Valley for seven years.

Kosek and her husband have two sons, Chris and Tony, serving in the Air Force in England, and a daughter, Becky.
