Boo-tiful Saturday to be Oct. 23

    Cambridge Main Street will once again be hosting the annual Boo-tiful Saturday at the Community Hall on East Street.

    Children ages fourth grade  and younger are invited to join in the festivities planned for Saturday, Oct. 23. from 10 a.m. until noon. 

    Main Street encourages all children to come dressed in their Halloween costumes as there will be a costume contest, coloring contest as well as a pumpkin contest.  Pumpkins should be carved, painted or otherwise adorned at home and brought to the Community Hall for judging.  The categories for the costume are; funniest, fanciest, scariest and most creative.  The categories for the pumpkin contest are; most original, most creative, most decorative and scariest pumpkin.

    There will be games for the kids to play such as pumpkin bowling, ghost toss, guess the candy corn, bean bag toss  and pin the nose on the pumpkin, just to name a few. There will also be a cupcake walk where kids may win cupcakes and dance to Halloween music.     

    Instead of game prizes, the first 100 children will receive a goody bag stuffed full of candy and goodies. The goody bags and contents are provided by Main Street with the help of The Flower Basket, BankORION, Mayor Jim and Terri Crouch and Deb VanDeWoestyne.
