Lynn Center's Teerlinck in Playcrafters production

    Playcrafters Barn Theatre’s next production is the play “Moving” by Bernard Slade.  The show runs Friday, July 13, through Sunday, July 15, and Friday, July 20, through Sunday, July 22, with performances at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays evenings and matinees at 3 p.m. on Sundays.

    The foundation of the story is the notion that studies have concluded the experience of moving falls into the category of “most traumatic” events in a person’s life.  Slade’s comedy-drama covers the journey that eleven characters undergo as they are drawn together during one life-altering day, in a story described as “touching, insightful, and filled with wonderful humor.” 

     Mr. Slade is the author of several other well-known plays, such as “Same Time, Next Year," “Tribute" and “Romantic Comedy."

     Bryan Woods of Colona directs the play.  Cast members are Nancy Teerlinck of Lynn Center; Molly Wilkison and Patrick Gimm, both of Davenport; Steve Marriot of LeClaire; Elizabeth Paxton of Port Byron; Sydney Dexter, Bill Peiffer, Cindy Ramos and Alex Richardson, all of Moline; Stephanie Moeller of Rock Island, and Alec Peterson of Silvis.

     Production staff includes stage manager Donna Weeks, producer Jordan Smith, light designer Karen Dubberke, set builder Dean Spillum, set painter/crew member Craig Cohoon, costumer Cindy Ramos, crew members Connie Donis and Frank Zarazinski  both of Moline; sound designer Paul Workman of East Moline; sound operator Sarah Smith of Rock Island; props chief Megan Elliot of Milan and crew member Jacque Wamer of Davenport.
