Letter to editor: Padilla wants to see county remain safe

Staff Writer
Geneseo Republic

The November election is rapidly approaching and voters in Henry County will be choosing a new Henry County Sheriff. It is my great pleasure to endorse and support Jim Padilla as the next Henry County Sheriff.

Jim has 34 years of experience in law enforcement, 26 years of those with the Henry County Sheriff’s Department. He is currently the Chief Deputy. Jim is a life-long resident of Henry County and he wants to see our county remain a safe place to live and raise our families. He is ready to tackle the challenges and county issues. We are fortunate to have the most experienced Sheriff’s candidate on the ballot in Jim Padilla.

Jim and his wife Jan have assembled Team Padilla and they have worked hard to meet with voter and campaign in every part of Henry County. He is dedicated to serving the residents of our county. He will be tough on crime and will work hard to manage the resources of the sheriff’s department with fiscal responsibility.

Please visit Jim’s website for more information, www.padillaforsheriff.com.?Of course please remember to cast your vote for Jim Padilla on November 2 and ask your friends to do the same.

The office of Henry County Sheriff is too important for our safety and security to allow anyone other than Jim Padilla to be elected on November 2.

Thank you for your vote for Jim Padilla as our next Henry County Sheriff.

Todd Sieben, Illinois State Senator, Retired, Geneseo
