Johnston takes 6th in discus

Galva High School senior Karly Johnston placed sixth in the discus Saturday at the IHSA Class A Girls State Track and Field Meet in Charleston.

It was the first medal for the four-time state qualifier. Her best effort was 121-feet, 9 inches.
