Andrew Frew is the new sports editor for the Cambridge Chronicle.

Frew, son of Tom and Robbin Frew of Cambridge, is a senior at Cambridge High School.

“I’m really excited about this opportunity,” Frew stated. “I love being involved in the school and this is another way I can contribute. The experience I get from this opportunity will help my future.”

After high school, Frew plans to attend college and major in English education. He doesn’t know what school he will be attending yet, but is looking at a couple of different ones.

Frew is very active in the school, being a member of the Cambridge High School band where he plays the drums  and the school’s choir. In the past, he has been and will be a member of the school’s various bands, including marching band, pep band and jazz band.

He is also a member of the Peer Resistance Team, National Honor Society and has been and hopes to be a class officer once again this year.

Frew has also assisted with the Cambridge High School musical the last three years and plans to be involved again this year.

During his years in junior high school and high school, Frew has won numerous awards through band and choir, including several awards from the different solo and ensemble contests. He has also been a member

of some of the honor bands.

He was a member of the Big Brothers-Big Sisters program last year and has been a member of the school’s Scholastic Bowl team in the past.

In eighth grade, he was chosen as the DAR award winner. Frew also won awards in the literary contests in junior high school.

Outside of school, he likes to camp with his friends, read and listen to music.

Frew has one brother, Alex, a junior at Cambridge High School.
