Bush, Owens lead harriers at Rockridge

Brittany Bush and Luke Owens led the Charger harriers in a meet with Rockridge on Tuesday, Sept. 9, in Edgington.

In the 3.0-mile girls race, Bush finished third in 23 minutes, 6 seconds.

Owens ran the 3.0-mile course in 19:54 for fifth place in the boys race.

Rockridge won both races, 16-47 over the Orion boys and 24-32 over the girls.

Scoring for the Orion girls were Megan Miller, fourth, 23:29; Hannah Larson, sixth, 23:51; Jamie Harrington, eighth, 24:26; and Brooke Bush, 10th, 24:40.

Also in the race were Kayla Descamps, 16th, 25:29; Morgan Martin, 19th, 27:05; and Shannon Gambon, 22nd, 28:44.

Besides Owens, Charger boys who scored were Derrick Andrae, 13th, 21:22; John Fielding, 20th, 23:26; Chris Schmidt, 22nd, 23:57; and Darrin Bohl, 23rd, 23:58.
