Annawan defeats Cambridge spikers

    The Cambridge varsity volleyball players took on the Annawan Bravettes at home Monday, Sept. 29.

    This was the ladies solo match of the week, and unfortunately they lost in three games.

    “We played some good games, but when they match was over the ladies had lost,” stated Coach Chad Hamerlinck. “The digs in this game were the best of the season.”

    Ashley Kruger led with 13 Nichole Wilson, Amanda Kruger and Danyelle English followed with 12 each.

    Erica Nimrick was another strong player this week coming up with 19 assists. English also ended the match with 11 points.

    Next week, Cambridge ladies will have three games. On Monday, Oct. 13, Cambridge will host Westmer on Columbus Day. Another home game will be held Wednesday, Oct. 15, with Stark County. On Thursday, Oct. 16, the girls will take a road trip to Williamsfield.
