ROWVA takes pair from Lady Cats

The ROWVA Tigers volleyball team defeated Galva 25-8, 25-16 on Oct. 23 at Oneida.

Kaylen Nelson led the Tigers with five kills, a block, three digs and three assists. Taylor Rice, Shelby Hatch and Valerie Erickson each made a block for ROWVA. Sarah DeSchepper served three aces and Jessica Krans served for 11 points in the Tiger win.

Galva was led by libero Chloe McIntire with 10 digs. Nicole Thompson nailed four kills and an ace. Amber Melhouse had a block and Morgan Nelson gave four assists for the Lady Cats.

Galva, who went winless during the regular season, is competing this week at the AlWood Regional in Woodhull. The Lady Cats take on the host Aces on Thursday, at 5:30.
