Galva, A-C, ROWVA girls on all-conference squad

AlWood-Cambridge placed three players on the first team and Galva and ROWVA each had two players on the first unit of the 2009 Lincoln Trail Conference All-Conference Softball Team, announced last week.

A-C’s Ella Teel, Kylie Speer and Dani Lessard were joined on the 20-player first team by Galva’s Chloe McIntire and Taylor Williams and ROWVA’s Anjay Clark and Sarah DeSchepper.

Aledo led the first team with five players chosen: Megan Putnam, Courtney Bennett, Julia Kosiarski, Stephanie Peterson and Brandi Anderson. United had three first-team players: Katie Bertelsen, Gina Long and Rachel Kenney.

Also on the first unit were Amanda Clark of Princeville, Alex Nusz of Stark County, and Brittany Lewis and Sara Peach, both of Annawan-Wethersfield.

Four AlWood-Cambridge players were named honorable mention: Rachel Schumaker, Sarah Werner, Amanda Kruger and Ashley Kruger.

ROWVA’s Kaylyn Nelson was also an honorable mention choice of LTC coaches.

Rounding out the honorable mention honorees were:

Annawan-Wethersfield - Ali Stern

Stark County - Natalie Turner

West Central - Katelyn Miller, Mariah Brooks
