Tigers continue roll

The ROWVA High School boys basketball team’s hot streak continued Dec. 22 with a 52-49 come-from-behind victory over Abingdon in a non-conference game.

The Tigers (7-3) trailed by five after the first and second quarters and were down 37-35 going into the fourth, but Caleb Lepisto scored eight in the final period and Kenny Fogerty added six to help ROWVA win its seventh game in a row.

Lepisto finished with a game-high 21 points and went 10-for-14 from the free-throw line while Fogerty hit a pair of 3-pointers and finished with 13 points. Andrew Kovacik added 10 for the Tigers.

Senior forward Cody Osborne led the Commandos (3-7) with 20 points.
