Orion falls to larger schools

The Orion Chargers took on teams from larger schools at the second annual Martin Luther King Jr. girls basketball tournament in Kewanee.On Saturday, Jan. 16,

Coach John McBride’s Chargers walked into the National Guard armory to challenge the Kewanee Boilermakers and the Eureka Hornets.

Orion’s enrollment is 346; Kewanee’s 547; and Eureka’s 527.

The bigger schools won both games with Orion.

Charger Megan Blumenshein was named to the All-Tournament team.
