Geneseo Boys place at State Track Meet

Geneseo’s William Plumley, a senior, completed the 3200m run in 10.39.76 to place 14th at the IHSA State Track Meet.
Malakai Schaad, a junior at Geneseo High School, placed second in the pole vault at the IHSA State Track Meet held June 18 at Charleston. He is shown clearing 16 feet, which broke his own school record set earlier this season.
Geneseo sophomore Karson Emry tied for 15th place in the high jump with a jump of 1.80 meters.
Cooper Schaad, a freshman at GHS and brother to Malakai, vaulted 13 feet, 11.32 inches on his way to earning a state medal for a ninth place finish.
GHS junior Aiden Coppejans placed 15th with a triple jump of 39 feet, 10.74 inches.
