Sheley claims third WIAC title

Geneseo’s Adam Sheley, a senior wrestler for the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse wrestling team, won his third straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) title on Feb. 17 with wins over UW-Stevens Point’s Jordan Kust, 6-1 and UW-Whitewater’s Jake Fredricksen, 4-1. Sheley also received with John Peterson Wrestler of the Meet Award and the Max Sparger Scholar-Athlete Award. The Eagles placed second as a team. Sheley will next compete in NCAA Division III Regional Meet at 9 a.m. March 2 at Elmhurst College.
