Ridgewood baseball closes out regular season

    The Ridgewood baseball team closed out their regular season hosting the West Central Heat to a pair of five-inning games.

    The Spartans fell behind early in game one. Trailing 4-0 going into the bottom of the third before the Spartans plated a pair of runs.

    Both teams scored a pair in the fifth, giving the Heat a 6-4 victory in game one. Jansen Noble suffered the loss.

    Dusty Werner had a pair of hits in the game, and Alex Main had a RBI double in the fifth inning. The Spartans managed only six hits in the contest.

    Game two saw the Heat bring out the lumber and score nine runs on 11 hits in the contest. The Heat also brought on the pitching in game two, keeping the Spartan’s bats quiet until they got their lone hit thanks to Nick Ragan’s RBI single in the fifth inning. Ridgewood finished the contest with the Heat pulling off the sweep with a 9-1 victory.
