Ridgewood boys' basketball succumbs to third-period onslaught

The West Central Heat buried the Spartans varsity basketball team last Tuesday, December 20. Ridgewood was outscored in the third period after the Heat went on a 31-13 run, which led to the Spartans 83-54 defeat in the nonconference match-up.

Alex Main led the Spartans (0-12) with 11 points, followed by James Brooks with 10.

Blayne Street finished the night with eight points, and Green, Steider, and Althaus all contributed five points each. Six of Street’s points were froom 3-point shots. Brooks scored two 3-balls as well.

Smith scored six, and McCreary and Urbina earned two points apiece for their squad.
