Sixth-seeded Annawan upset No. 2 seed Galva 51-46 in semi-final action at the Class 1A ROWVA Regional on Wednesday night.

Galva, which ends its season with a sterling 23-5 record, trailed 21-17 at the end of the first half but a 14-11 Wildcat third quarter brought the game back to within one at 32-31.

Annawan responded, though, with a 19-15 fourth quarter.

Senior Reece Hoxworth led the Wildcats with 22 points in his last game for GHS. Dexter Ingels added 12.

Details of the game will be expanded in the March 1 printed edition of the Galva News.

Annawan faces Wethersfield in the championship game at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
