Lady Leafs snag win over Foxes on the lanes

The Lady Leafs’ bowling team opened the season at the Rock Island Invite and competed against Yorkville in a dual.

Rock Island Invite

The Lady Leafs finished ninth (4727) among a 14-team field at the Rock Island Invite held at Highland Park Bowl in Moline on Nov. 24.

Geneseo’s Emily Pobanz earned eighth overall with an 1189 six-game series with three games over 200 (225, 213, 211).

Madison Holevoet tallied a 943 six-game series, and Delaney Ostrowski finished with a 927 series.

Karis Ostrowski rolled a 903 series, and Jenah Hart finished with a 343 three-game series.

Breann Keller tallied a 292 three-game series, and Miranda Roemer rolled a 130 game.

In the JV tournament, Geneseo finished sixth led by Adi Hernandez-Nesbitt who rolled a 783 six-game series.

The Lady Leafs’ Grace Moore finished with a 752 six-game series, and Roemer added a 709 five-game series.

Keller tallied a 545 four-game series, and Emily Henson finished with a 499 five-game series.

Geneseo’s Hart finished with a 458 three-game series, and Keeton Lawrence finished with a 237 three-game series.

Geneseo at Yorkville

The Lady Leafs rolled to a solid win over the Lady Foxes 2802-2644 at Yorkville Bowl on Nov. 27.

Geneseo’s Pobanz continued her strong start to the season with a dual meet best three-game series of 634 and a high 242 single game.

Hart rolled her way to a 571 series, and Delaney Ostrowski finished with a 458 series.

Karis Ostrowski had a solid 442 series, and Hernandez-Nesbitt finished with a 358 series.

The Lady Leafs’ Roemer finished with a 339 series.

Geneseo’s JV team was led by Keller who finished with a 424 series, and Moore finished with a 390 series.

Madison Kensinger rolled her way to a 337 series, and Mary Thomas finished with a 323 series.

Rachel Vondra added a 318 series, and Henson finished with a 318 series.
