Lady Leafs roll to NIB 12 win

The Geneseo girls’ bowling team earned a NIB 12 conference victory over Kaneland and competed in the DeKalb Invite.

The Lady Leafs nabbed another Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference victory defeating the Knights 3286-2715 at Lee’s Lanes on Dec. 13.

A freshman, Madison Holevoet finished with a dual meet best 601 three-game series, and she rolled single games of 222 and 200.

The Lady Leafs’ Jenah Hart and Emily Pobanz each rolled a 584 series, and Karis Ostrowski finished with a 518 series.

Breann Keller tallied a 500 series, and Delaney Ostrowski finished with a 499 series.

Emma Kass led Geneseo’s JV bowlers with a 474 series, and Adi Hernandez-Nesbitt finished with a 458 series.

Grace Moore notched a 424 series, and Tricia Elden finished with a 404 series.

Geneseo’s Brooke Sproston and Jenna Morrone each rolled a 359 series.

Molly McGill tallied a 353 series, and Katelynn Emerick finished with a 323 series.

DeKalb Invite

The Lady Leafs’ Pobanz finished 10th individually with a six-game series of 1118, and Geneseo finished sixth as a team at Mardi Gras Lanes on Dec. 15.

A senior, Pobanz had three games exceeding 200 (210, 201, 203).

Hart wasn’t far back with a 1075 series, and Karis Ostrowski finished with a 987 series.

Delaney Ostrowski rolled a with a 968 series, and Keller finished with a four-game 595 series.

The Leafs’ Holevoet added a 321 two-game series.

In the JV competition, Geneseo finished third as a team, and Holevoet rolled a 219 game.

Geneseo’s Emma Kass had a team-high 946 series, and Hernandez-Nesbitt finished with a 900 series.

Miranda Roemer tallied an 881 series, and Moore notched a 655 five-game series.

Holevoet rolled three games and finished with a 577 series, and Morrone finished with a 457 four-game series.
