PEORIA — Notre Dame is starting to turn the corner on its high school football season.

Fittingly, the Irish did it on a baseball field.

Notre Dame (4-2, 4-2) won its fourth game in a row Friday, earning a 42-0 Big 12 Conference victory over Manual in a game played at Dozer Park.

Logan Cover ran for 100 yards and three touchdowns for ND, while Jacob Rashid ran for 101 and two. Irish backs Giorgio Grivetti and Josh Manning each added a score.

Manual (0-6, 0-5) was playing for the first time in the so-called Shamrock Classic played at the Peoria Chiefs' ballpark Downtown.
