Complete list of Mid-Illini, Big 12 and Peoria-area high school football scrimmage times


High school football is so close, you can almost taste it.
To quench that pigskin thirst, teams are hosting intra-squad scrimmages and/or meet the team nights across the Peoria area on Friday, Aug. 19 — one week before the kickoff of the regular season. This will give fans an opportunity to preview what to expect in Week 1.
Here are the details for the 12 teams in the Mid-Illini and Big 12 conferences as well as Deer Creek-Mackinaw, Elmwood/Brimfield, Eureka, Illinois Valley Central, Princeville and Tremont. All events are Friday, Aug. 19 unless noted.

Canton
The Little Giants head to Ron Fahnestock Field for a 7 p.m. scrimmage.
Deer Creek-Mackinaw
Meet the Chiefs Night in Mackinaw will be 7 p.m. at Jim McDonald Field.
Dunlap
There's no scrimmage for the Eagles, but the players will be introduced during Maroon/Gold Night at 6:25 p.m.
East Peoria
Corwin "Cornie" Clatt Stadium inside EastSide Centre will play host to the annual Maroon and Gold Scrimmage at 6:45 p.m.

Elmwood/Brimfield
The Trojans have their Meet the Teams Night with a scrimmage to follow around 7 p.m. at Whitney Field.
Eureka
The Green and White Scrimmage at 7 p.m. will give the Eureka faithful a first-look at the new turf.
Farmington
It's a 5 p.m. start for a meet the team night, with the scrimmage scheduled for 7 p.m. on the Farmers football field.
Illinois Valley Central
Maroon and Grey Night for the Grey Ghosts will be on Taylor Field starting at 5:30 p.m.
Limestone
Fall Recognition Night will take place in Frank Leach Football Stadium at 6 p.m.
Manual
The Rams are billing their annual Orange and Black Game as a "Ramily Affair" with food and fun family activities from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the high school.
Metamora
Malone Field will be the site of the Redbird Community Kickoff event at 6 p.m. followed by a football scrimmage.
Morton
The Potters look to take the turf on Carper Field for a scrimmage as part of Cherry & Gray Night, which starts at 6 p.m.
Pekin
The Red-White Scrimmage takes over Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m.
Peoria High
Fans of Peoria High are encouraged to make it out to the Peoria Stadium at 5 p.m. for Meet the Lions Night.
Peoria Notre Dame
The PND boosters club will put on the yearly ShamROCK at the high school, capping the night with a scrimmage around 7:30 p.m.
Princeville
Meet the Team Night will be at 6:15 p.m. with the football scrimmage beginning around 7:45 p.m.
Richwoods
The Green and White scrimmage will be 7 p.m. at Endress Field. In the first quarter, the clock will run normal, while the second period features a running clock. One offensive series will take place after “halftime”, followed by a defensive series to end the scrimmage.
Tremont
Meet the Players Night starts at 7 p.m. on the Tremont football field.
Washington
Inside Panther Night introduces all the fall sports followed by scrimmages with a 5 p.m. start time.
