Mid-County and Ridgewood golfers open with dual; Spartans take it

The one-two punch of Jack Bumann and Noah Shannon led Ridgewood to a season-opening 168-208 win over Mid-County on Monday at Oak Run Golf Course.

The freshman Bumann earned medalist honors with a 2-over-par 38 on the front nine, while Shannon was a shot back at 39.

Dustin Swanson added 44 and Joey Lambin shot 47 to round out Ridgewood's four scores.

Caleb Rux paced Mid-County with a 43, which was highlighted by an eagle on the par-five ninth hole.

Also counting for the Cougars were Matt Hagerty 50, James Hopping 57 and Austin Parkinson 58.
