Payton Weston tossed a six-inning no-hitter to lead Galva past Henry 10-0 in high school girls softball action Monday in Galva Park District.

Weston struck out nine and didn't issue a walk in leading the Lady Cats to the win.

She was aided by some good defense behind her, including a running, jumping grab by second baseman Kim Larson, a shoestring catch by right fielder Josie Berry, and a running grab by shortstop Mickey Wood.

The Lady Cats - who stole 15 bases on the night - collected 10 hits. Lead-off hitter Kim Larson went 3-3 with four stolen bases. Wood went 2-3 and Weston went 2-4, and both had a triple. Weston and Berry both drove in two runs.

Galva scored four runs in the first inning, and three in both the fifth and sixth innings.
